  1. Need to spend the money on training the drivers, the general driving is both dangerous and discourteous.

  2. Oh dear. We are racing to be the great unloved city we were in the late 1990’s, when travel guides like Lonely Planet described London as dirty, expensive and unfriendly. Please-just leave it alone.

  3. There is no point living in London if you earn less than £40k. A lower salary almost anywhere else will get you a much better standard of living. Would leave tomorrow if the girlfriend wasn’t in the middle of a PhD.

  4. I am shocked at how expensive public transport is already in London, making it more expensive will be crippling, the problem is if you are dependent on public transport then you are dependent on it, it however means cutting back on other necessities - electricity, gas, food, clothes and any treats. Boris Johnstone is a brute.

  5. Public transport is much cheaper in most of Europe, and the metros in particular are better than the London Underground, in every large continental European city I have visited.

Theres no point living in the UK if you earn more than 40K. The taxation is killing the country all for Big government.

  14. Free speech not allowed? I still believe that if you earn more than 40K you should leave the country. Punishing hardwork via taxation.
