Actors refuse to cross picket line
Well, the posh designer frocks and smart suits have been sent back as the Golden Globes has been cancelled.
The reason this has happened is ‘cos nominated actors have refused to cross the writers guild picket line. The guild had threatened to picket the event if it had gone ahead.
Good to see solidarity in action…..
Yes - it is an importnat strike becasue it has been so widely reported, if they win then it can popularise the idea that strikes are effective.
And also the fact that highly paid actors are showing solidarity is a good example.

And the idea that not crossing picket lines is a point of principle. Someone remind ‘Red’ (hah hah) Ken.
